Can you believe it is DECEMBER already!!!
WOW !! - Time sure does fly!
It is time for the last challenge from the Challenge YOUrself Blog for 2023!!  I hope you can find some YOU time to play along with us this month!!

Here is my inspiration layout for you - I used LOTS of "stuff" from the beautiful ALENA Collection from 49 and Market!  I just LOVE the colors and the flowers!!  This is a photo of me - enjoying some fresh Oysters, when we went away with my parents this past summer to Gloucester, Massachusetts

Challenge YOUself #119 - Sketch Challenge "Hope"

 Hello Scrappy Friends - I'm sharing our next challenge from over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog for the month of November!  This month we have a SKETCH for you - and just be sure to include YOU in the photo!  Head over to the Challenge YOUrself Blog for Challenge INFO and details - and LOTS of INSPIRATION from the rest of our AMAZING DesignTeam!

I selected a photo of my wonderful hubby and I from a great day we spent with my parents at a Sunflower Farm, here in New Jersey!  It was a BEAUTIFUL Day and they had all these great photo ops!!

I created the background using a sheet of Vicki Boutin's white foundations paper, and used water and Oxide Distress Inks in different colors. I splattered some white Picket Fence Distress Spray along with some of Vicki's Cosmic Watercolors to create this colorful base page - I am so happy with how it came out - especially since I created it and the whole layout with a broken left hand!! Good thing I am right handed!!

Have I told you how much I love 49 and Markets Alena Collection?!!

I used it for this month’s Challenge over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog ! This month we want you to create a layout inspired by your favorite quote! 

I used a photo of my hubby Phil and me from a family celebration last year.  

My inspiration quote is "Start every day with a grateful heart." I certainly do as I know that every day is a blessing!!

Dressed to Impress Challenge YOUrself #116

Hi Scrappy Friends! 

I hope the summer has been treating you all well!

It’s time for the August Challenge over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog and this month we are challenging you to scrap a photo of YOU with this prompt:

And here is my Design Team inspiration layout for you!

This is my wonderful hubby and I on our 2016 Disney Cruise Line Westbound Panama Canal Cruise on the Disney Wonder!

This was our first time through the Panama Canal - it was an AWESOME 14 night cruise and there were 2 formal nights, and a great reason to "Dress to Impress!"

We sailed with a group of friends that we met on past cruises and all the ladies wore tiaras on our Formal Nights!  It was so much fun!

This was a larger photo I purchased on the cruise, but I cut it down for this layout. Doesn't my hubby look so HANDSOME!!!

I used the AMAZING 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Everywhere Collection  I just LOVE all of the colors, bits and pieces - Oh My!

Challenge YOUrself Blo # 115 " My Happy Place "

 Hello Scrappy Friends!!  Can you believe it is JULY already!!!???  I hope you are all doing well and can find some time this summer to play and get creative!  Please join us in the Challenge YOUself Blog's July Challenge - Show us YOU in YOUr Happy Place!

My Happy Place is out on our deck under out Gazebo, just relaxing with our 3 Portuguese Waterdogs, and maybe a glass of Pinot Grigio!  Our girl Sugar love to join me and thinks she is a 55 lb lap dog sometimes!! 

I used the 49 and Market's Spectrum Sherbet Collection and concentrated on all of the green papers and embellishments.  I used a Vicki Boutin flower stencil and some Cloud Whip paste from Scrapbook.com to make the raised flowers, and then colored around them with Tim Holtz colored pencils. I then use a water brush to soften the pencil lines and shade around and on the flowers.

Challenge YOUrself #114 "My Endless Love"

 Hello Scrappy Friends!
This month over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog - we want you to create a layout about your favorite song!!

My all time favorite song has to be Endless Love by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross - it was our wedding song, and will alway be my favorite.

Here is a layout I created using a Vicki Boutin Mixed Media base page, along with the beautiful Cocoa Vanilla DayDream Collection and a bunch of sequins from the collection too!

I love how well the base page blended with the DayDream collection!

Challenge YOUrself Blog #113 - Best Time Ever

 Hello everyone!  Thanks for stopping by!  If you are new here, please leave a comment and let me know how you found me!!

This month over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog - This month we would like you "get messy" by using inks on your page.

I used the awesome NEW collection "Vintage Artistry Everywhere" from 49 and Market to create this layout capturing a fun memory we recently made by taking a road trip to visit our friends who moved away, in their new home. We had a great lunch and great time with them.

 I had lots of fun "kissing" the base page with Distress Oxide Inks to create the watercolor look behind the photo and embellishments.

I just love everything that 49 and Market creates! And this Vintage Artistry Everywhere Collection is one of my FAVORITES!  If you don't have it - you can check it out HERE - at My Little Scrapbook Store. I used one of the items in the Cluster Kit from the collection, and added some film strips, washi and chipboard items, along with tags and some of the Wishing Baubles enamel embellishments.

Challenge YOUrself #112 - "Then and Now"

Hello Scrappy Friends  I had so much fun with this month's challenge from the Challenge YOUrself Blog!  We challenge you to scrap a photo of "Then" and "Now!" - just make sure YOU are in BOTH photos!!

I used the BEAUTIFUL New 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Tranquility Ultimate Page Kit and document a photo of my little brother Jack and me from 1963, and one taken this year, 2023.

I added some paper twin and maybe a few more layers - and I love how it came out!  Believe it or not - I've never used a kit for a layout - and I have to say - this was FUN!

Challenge YOUrself #111 - "Play Ball!" - Sports themed layout!

 Hello Scrappy Friends!!

I hope all is well with you!  This month the challenge over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog is to create a sports themed layout - and be sure to included YOU in your layout!!!

I decided to scrap this photo of my hubby and me at a minor league baseball game, taken on August 7, 2015!!

This is the first time I've ever used a die cut!!  I purchased this Bella Blvd die cut kit from My Little Scrapbook Store and I have to say - it was so much FUN!!  I love how it turned out and can't wait to use one of the others in the kit!!

I used patterned papers and embellishments from Vicki Boutin's fabulous PRINT SHOP collection!! I really think this is one of my favorite collections ever!!!  I did some fussy cutting and used my cool pink fringe scissors - I love them!
