SOS June Blend-a-Sketch "Brothers"

It is time for this month's Blend-a-Sketch from over at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!

Here is how I blended the 2 sketches:
From the Left Sketch, I used 3 small photos, a "ric rac" paper boarded between 2 papers, torn paper, title on the upper right corner.
From the Right Sketch, I used the split base page, general paper placement, staggered photos and stars.
And I didn't forget to add Stars and Star patterned paper too!

Here is my Layout for your inspiration:
These are photos from a picnic at my brother-in-law Rich's house - I can't believe it was almost 9 years ago!  It ended up being a rainy day, they had to BBQ under umbrellas, but I love their smiles!  These 3 guys are more than brothers - they are best friends too!  It is always fun to be around them. They may be men, but they will always be boys at heart!
I love this BoBunny Zip-a-Dee Doodle collection and thought it worked great for this challenge and these photos!

Here are some close ups for you too:

I really hope you will join us this month, over at the Scrap Our Stash Blog - Let us help you get a layout done, use up some of your stash, and maybe make room for some more scrappy goodies too!

*I have also entered this layout in the following 2 challenges:
Off the Rails Scrapbook Blog June Challenge - I love the blue and green colors in the top left of their inspiration photo, and in this BoBunny Collection - and this is a Summer Layout too!

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you get a chance to get Scrappy With It this month too!

Paper Issues' Scraplift Sunday January Challenge - "Fancy Friends"

Hi Scrappy Friends -

I decided to play along with this beautiful Inspiration Layout from Cassie, over at the
- Check it out below:

Here is my take on the challenge:
This is a photo of my friend Kimberly and I.  We met in 2014 onboard The Disney Magic's TransAtlantic Cruise and have been friends ever since.  Even though she lives in Ohio, and I live in New Jersey, we stay in touch on the internet and by phone. We sailed together again in 2016, and she spent Thanksgiving with our family and we toured NYC together last November.
I must say, Disney Cruise friends are really the best!!
This photo was taken in one of my favorite restaurants on the Disney ships - Animator's Palette.
I thought that the Simple Stories "So Fancy" Collection was perfect for the photo
and for our friendship!

Here are some close ups for you:

Selfie Fun! - Paper Issues July Sketch Challenge Entry

Hi Scrappy Friends!!

I found some more time to play with my scrap stuff and had a blast creating this layout for Paper Issue's July Sketch Challenge!

Here is the FUN Sketch:

And here is my layout:

I made the background paper by "pouncing" Ranger Distress Stains onto a piece of plastic, spritzing it with water, and then placing my cardstock on top of it, and "smooshing" it around a bit!  I used Peacock Feathers, Fossilized Amber and Picked Raspberry Distress Stains.
The paper collection and stickers are from the "Fun with Friends" by Photoplay!  LOVE the colors and FUN patterns!  I think this collection works perfectly with the FUN photo of my friends and I at one of the past weekend crop!  LOVE these Ladies!

Here are a few close ups for you!

I cut the title out with my Cricut - after "welding" the letters together in Design Space - still trying to get the hang of using it!

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to head over to the Paper Issues Blog and check out all the fun challenges this month!

July Double Challenge Entry - Drinks by the Pool!

I had some extra free time this month and decided to play along with a few more challenge blogs - (not sure how that happened but I am so glad it did!)

I am LOVIN' this SKETCH Challenge over at the STUCK?! Sketch Challenge Blog the month and I'm so happy I had a chance to Play along!
and the Pick a Minimum of 5 Items Challenge for the TAKE 5 Tuesday Challenge from the Paper Issues BLOG - inspired me too!

I used: Orange, Pink, Stickers, Cardstock, Washi, Layers, Patterned Paper, Enamel Dots. - 9 Items in all!

Here is my layout!
This is a memory capture of a SUPER FUN Brothers week we shared with my hubby's brothers and our sister-in-laws at the AWESOME Beaches in Turks and Caicos in October of 2015!  We really had an amazing time!

The Die-cut title was made by the FABULOUS and multi-talented "Mama Doodle" from my favorite On-Line Scrapbook Store -  Scrap-a-Doodle Doo - (www.shopthedoo.com)

I bought it at the last weekend crop they hosted - and there was some discussion as to what the title actually says -
Is it - "Drinks by the Pool" - or - "Drunks by the Pool"
What do you think?

I think it all depends upon the time of day ( and the number of drinks consumed ) when the photos were taken!  So - what do you think - Drinks or Drunks?  I am happy it seems to do "double duty!" LOL!

I used NUVO Mousse by Tonic Studios and a stencil to make the shimmery swirls on the base page - I used Aquamarine and Spring Green to make them.  I LOVE this stuff!! So much FUN!

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you are inspired to play along with these challenges - or at least find a few minutes for YOU to create!
