It is time for October's Sketch Challenge over at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!!

LEAF!
Here is the delicious sketch:
No automatic alt text available.

Here is my take on the Challenge!
I used the following items for the "LEAF" Challenge:
L - Letters
E - Enamel Dots, Eyelets
A - Arrow
F - Flair

This is a photo of our sweet "Valentino." He is a 4 year old Portuguese Water Dog!  LOVE him lots! He actually turns 4 this week!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TINO!

I used LETTER Stickers for the title

I love the "handsome boy" tab from Dusty Attic and I added the "ARROW" chipboard circle for the challenge.

I dug out some EYELETS, and used some ENAMEL DOTS for the letter "E" in LEAF

I really am in love with FLAIR - and this "WOOF!" one worked great for the challenge and the layout!

Here is a close up of an EYELET and a sweet metal embellishment!

LOVE this collection from BoBunny - I think that chipboard title on the bottom right is perfect!!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope I've inspired you to come play along with us at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!!

October Challenge YOUrself Blog #46 - FALL!

Hello there Scrappy Friends!  Fall is here Y'all!  and that is exactly what the Challenge YOUrself Blog's Challenge #46 is all about!

Please use this "Mood Board" below to INSPIRE you to create a Layout - with a photo of YOU, and play along with us this month!

One of my favorite seasons is Fall, and one of my favorite things to do is to cook and host Thanksgiving for our family.  I chose a photo of our 2016 Thanksgiving celebration that I took with my "selfie stick" of course!  I hope I've inspired you to join us this month, over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!

THIS IS US - after stuffing ourselves with traditional Thanksgiving fare.. it is time to play games!!

Below are a few close ups for you:

I am LOVING how these leaves came out - I have had a 12x12 sheet of kraft die-cut leaves by Anna Griffin for YEARS!!  I cut a corner of it out and had a blast coloring them in with Ranger Distress Stains and my foam applicator! So much inky fun!
If you've been here before, you know I love to create a pocket behind my photos and slip a journaling card into it, with notes and memories of the day!

I hope you will join us over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog this month!  I can't wait to see what "MOOD" you will be in!

October SOS Tic Tac Toe - "Paint Night!"

It's October!! My favorite month!  I love the fall air, the leaves changing color, pumpkins, and Halloween.  It is the month of our Wedding Anniversary too - and this year we will be married 35 years!!  It is also time for the October Scrap Our Stash Tic Tac Toe Challenge, check out the board below.  All you have to do is pick 3 items from any row on the board - across, up and down, or diagonally. What will you chose?

You would think since October is my favorite month, that I would have picked Orange, Pumpkin  and Die Cut - but no, I did not.  I had a photo on my desk of my oldest son Nick and I, that I've been dying to get on a layout - so this month I chose to use:
Mini Alphas
American Crafts
Die Cut

Here is my layout -  "Paint Night!"
We had lots of fun! I knew I had to use that base page with the paint brushes on it for this layout!

I made the die-cut paint brushes with my Cricut - and then shaded them with Distress Stains and a fine point Sharpie marker - I love how they came out!

Here are the Mini Alphas !

I LOVE these Bonjour Thickers from American Crafts and I think they are Perfect for this title and layout!!

Any day with my son Nick is a Happy Day - don't ya just love that  "Flair!" - Oh - and here you can see my journaling tag tucked behind the photo - in a pocket made with 3D Foam Tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you find the time to play along with us this month at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!
