Special Moments with my Guys! - MLSS Create your own background challenge

Here is a layout I made for the My Little Scrapbook Store's Online May Crop event
-the challenge was to create your own background....
I had lots of FUN with this challenge!
Here is my finished layout - and I'll also add some photos of how I created my background below:
I had a photo of my 2 sons - Nick (left) / Jake (right) and me from Thanksgiving 2019. I used the App Prisma to create this really cool effect, but for some reason it would not print all on one photo, and created 2 instead.  At first I wasn't sure how to place them on my layout - but realized that they almost line up.  I really like the look -even if I am split in half! LOL!!
I used lots of layers and had fun using a stencil and mix of sprays to create my background - check out the photos below:

Here is the finished background - I love how it turned out and really didn't want to cover it all up - so I cut out the center circle and then cut it in half and used as a layer in 2 places on my finished layout.

Here are some close ups for you:

I LOVE how this chipboard title came out and had lots of fun fussy cutting the leaves and birds for this layout!

TIP: - if your first attempt at stamping the date doesn't work - try it a few more times, until it does. It will look like you intended it that way!

Thanks for stopping by - and sticking it out to the end of this long post!  Grab your sprays, mists and stencils and have some FUN! You will be happy you did!
Please check out My Little Scrapbook Store on Facebook where you can find/purchase many of the supplies listed below.

"S" is for Scrapbook and for SUGAR!!

What a FUN Challenge from over at the My Little Scrapbook Store Online Crops Facebook Page!!
One of the challenges for their National Scrapbook Weekend Online Crop was "S is for Scrapbook"
I decided to use 2 cute photos of our Beautiful all white Portuguese Water Dog " Turnabout Sugar Magnolia" and some papers from Vicki Boutin's "Field Notes" Collection.  I LOVE how it turned out!!
For the "S" Challenge - I used : Stencil / Sparkle Spray / Simply White Nuvo Drops

She is the SWEETEST Dog and we are so in LOVE with her!!

I used the Prisma App to create these really cool photos that look like an oil painting - lots of Fussy Cutting on this layout and I am so happy with how the Picket Fence Paper Glaze worked when I combined 2 colors - Very Cool!

Here are some close ups for you:

I put a dollop of Picket Fence Paper Glace in Ocean Poppy and one of Snow Drop White next to each other on a plastic sheet, and then picked up a bit of each of them and applied them to the stencil - I love how it came out - don't be afraid to try new things!!

That face!!!  LOVE HER!!!

Lots of layers!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope I've inspired you to CREATE! Get out your STUFF and HAVE FUN!!

May Flower Challenge from MLSS - Lazy Days

There is a May Flower Challenge over at the My Little Scrapbook Store - Scrapbook Layouts and More! Facebook Page - Come on over and check out this FUN group -

I hope you will play along too!

Here is my take on the challenge:

I took this photo of our 9 year old Portuguese Water Dog Maggie  (aka Reelife Princess Magdalena of the Sea)  I love how she looks out the window with her white paw hanging down and in "her chair" - yes, it is hers, she is the only one who sits in it, and we did buy that chair just for her!

The lighting is just perfect - and I knew I had the perfect scrapbook paper in my stash that would go great with the colors of our new curtains!  I am so happy with how this came out, and had so much fun adding all those beautiful flowers and getting messy with paint and sprays on the chipboard frame.

Here are some close ups for you:

I hope I've inspired you to break into your flower stash and use them up on this FUN Challenge.

Put your best face forward! CY #89 - Use your Scraps!

It's time for this month's challenge at the Challenge YOUrself Blog

This month we challenge you to.....

I decided to use a selfie I took while waiting in line for my first Covid Vaccine.  I used a cool filter from the Prisma App, and decided to use some Vicki Boutin goodies from her Let's Wander and Storyteller lines.  Some fun splatters of Ranger Distress Sprays and Distress Oxide Sprays and Lots of Layers

I actually taught this as a class for My Little Scrapbook Store's Online Crops this past weekend for National Scrapbook Day.

It was Challenge #13 - where you were only able to use ONE full sheet of paper, and the rest had to be scraps.

There is still time to play along with those challenges on the Facebook Group too!

Here are a few close ups for you too:

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope I've inspired you to play along with the Challenge YOUrself Blog, and to visit MLSS Online Crops Page too!
