DT Layout for My Little Scrapbook Store -Kaisercraft Antiquities Collection

Hello Scrappy friends!!  I want to share this layout I made for the My Little Scrapbook Store's Design Team - featuring their Kaisercraft's Antiquities Happy Scrappy Bag!  I LOVE the color combo and patterns in this collection!  The only items I used other than what came in the Happy Scrappy Bag were a piece of die-cut chipboard, Nuvo Glitter Drops and Ranger Distress Stains.

Even though this photo was taken in the winter, I think this collection works perfectly
to capture a very happy winter memory of a belated Birthday Weekend Celebration,
my wonderful hubby and I spent down the Jersey Shore!
"The best thing to hold onto in life is each other!"

Please check out this awesome bag of scrappy goodness over at the My Little Scrapbook Store website and get your Happy Scrappy Bag before they are all gone!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope I've inspired you to Grab a Happy Scrappy Bag for yourself, and to get creative with it!

Scrap Our Stash Blog July Pick Your Side -Sketch - Happy Birthday!

Hello my scrappy friends - it is time for Scrap Our Stash Blog's
August Pick Your Side Sketch Challenge! As an added challenge - please be sure to include wood or wood veneers on your layout!
Here is my Design Team Inspiration layout for this month's challenge.  I selected the RIGHT Side, and included wood veneer hearts and word embellishments:
I can't believe these photos are from 11 years ago! - I know I will never be "caught up" in my scrapbooking and that is the way I like it.  I like to scrap photos that make me happy when I am creating and enjoy the memories they bring back to me.

This was a SURPRISE Birthday party for my wonderful husband. His 50th Birthday was in January, and I decided to throw him a Surprise 49 1/2 party - since July was a much better month for an outdoor party.  It was Italian themed, and since he was a BIG FAN of the Soprano's - I even hired Tony and Carmela look-a-likes as entertainment!
To say he was surprised was an understatement!
We all had a great time!
Here are a few close ups for you:

SOS July Saturday Cartoon Challenge "Sparkle"

Hello everyone!  It's time for the July Saturday Cartoon Challenge for the Design Team at the Scrap Our Stash Challenge Blog!

Here is the challenge information and details, prize info and rules, along with more inspiration from the rest of our Design Team can be found on the Scrap Our Stash Blog!

I was inspired by my friend Mickey Mouse and the Stars in the cartoon. For the "Arrow" portion of the challenge, I added a chipboard arrow with the word "adore" on it - that I painted silver.

I used a large photo from our 2016 Disney Wonder Cruise through the Panama Canal and decided to flip the sketch.  I also added a chipboard flourish right on the photo, instead of the bracket as shown in the sketch.

I hope I've inspired you to play along with us at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!  I can't wait to see what you create!!
