CY#138 Red White and Blue Mood Board

Hello my Scrappy Friends! 

I’m back with a fun layout challenge from the Challenge YOUrself Blog.

This month we want you to use the mood board below as inspiration for your layout and be sure to include YOU in a photo!! 

Here is my Design Team layout for your inspiration:

Phil and I love vacationing on Cape Ann Massachusetts, especially visiting Newburyport and Gloucester, MA.  This was a trip we took together with our family back in June of 2021. We hope to get back there one day!

Join in the MLSS Say Goodbye to Summer HOP!

Hello Scrappy Friends!

It’s been a while since I posted!  I will try to keep up with posting layouts for your inspiration!

I am participating in a Fun Blog and YouTube Hop with my fellow Design Team Members over at the My Little Scrapbook Store!

So, I will share the layout that I created of my sweet grand niece Serena. She was having fun playing with toys and water outside, and I just love her smile!!   I used the beautiful Sun Chaser Collection from Heidi Swapp - you can find yours in the STORE - HERE!!  I used the base page as my inspiration, and added stickers, diecuts, tags and foam stickers based on the color of the base page

I also added a yellow heart paperclip from the Paige Evan's Splendid Collection, and a Vicki Boutin Title and some stickers and foam embellishments that I had in my stash!

Here is my layout and some close ups for you - 

I love layering different pattern papers on top of each other, and adding texture with fun Fringe Scissors, paper tearing and inking with Distress Oxide Inks! I used Black Soot to add an outline to the different patterns, and along the edges of the base page too!

Challenge YOUrself #111 - "Play Ball!" - Sports themed layout!

 Hello Scrappy Friends!!

I hope all is well with you!  This month the challenge over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog is to create a sports themed layout - and be sure to included YOU in your layout!!!

I decided to scrap this photo of my hubby and me at a minor league baseball game, taken on August 7, 2015!!

Here is my Design Team Layout for your inspiration:

This is the first time I've ever used a die cut!!  I purchased this Bella Blvd die cut kit from My Little Scrapbook Store and I have to say - it was so much FUN!!  I love how it turned out and can't wait to use one of the others in the kit!!

I used patterned papers and embellishments from Vicki Boutin's fabulous PRINT SHOP collection!! I really think this is one of my favorite collections ever!!!  I did some fussy cutting and used my cool pink fringe scissors - I love them!

Challenge YOUrself #110 Find What Brings You Joy and Do That!!

Hi Scrappy Friends!  Can you believe it’s February already??   2023 is just flying by!   It’s time for the next challenge from the Challenge YOUrself Blog!! 

This month, we'd like you to create a layout about meditation and or the ways you relax. For instance, you can make it about "meditation for ourselves and about ourselves and the world." Or it can be "why I enjoy meditation." Or it can simply be how you relax and meditate and what helps you relax. 

Here is my Design Team inspiration layout:

I used photos my my dog Sugar taken this past summer under out gazebo. Relaxing outdoors with our 3 dogs is my way of relaxing on summer evenings. I can be found inside in my scrap-room on winter evenings with our 3 dogs around my desk - that is how I (we) relax when the weather turns colder! They are both my Happy Places!

I used the AWESOME Print Shop Collection by Vicki Boutin!  I think this is one of my favorite collections!  I love the colors and patterns!

I used the stamp set that comes with the collection with some Distress Oxide Inks on the base page.

I fussy cut some flowers from one of the pattern papers and layered them with some of the flowers from the ephemera packs. How fun is that paperclip banner embellishment too!

I splattered Distress Oxide sprays over the base too

I tucked one of the 3x4 cards behind some of the photos and journaled on the back.

Here is the journaling on the back of the card with a close up below. I love the sticker from the sticker sheet that says - 
"Find what brings you joy and do that!"

A photo of a cosmo I enjoyed on New Year's Eve

I used the "Pour Decisions" collection from Wild Whisper - that I purchased in a Happy Scrappy Bag from My Little Scrapbook Store along with a Martini Glass Stencil and some purple velvet paper glaze.
I splattered it with some Ranger Distress Oxide Sprays and tucked a journaling card behind the photo too.
I used 3 pieces of flair to meet the circle part of this challenge.

We recreated some wonderful family memories on Christmas night at my Mom and Dad's home. When all of the family cousins were little, they would "sing on the stairs" while waiting for Santa to arrive! They were good sports and it was fun to capture and create this new family memory.

Here is my layout for Challenge 1. 

- The first week of 2023 included my wonderful husbands birthday, 

on January 7th. 

I created this layout using Photo Play's Add Another Candle collection.

I started with a pre-made Vicki Boutin mixed media base that I stenciled some black circles on and splattered with Distress Oxide and Nuvo Mica Mist sprays.
And how cool is that Mega Date Stamp!! I LOVE it!

I made candles by rolling and gluing some of the papers and created flames by cutting some of the ribbon the MLSS includes with your shipment!!  Thanks Michelle!

Challenge YOUrself #109 - 2022 Wonderful Memory

Here's Challenge YOUrself #109, the first challenge of the 2023!

Can you believe it is 2023 already???!!!

This month we'd like you to create a layout about "2022 - the year in review." You can interpret it any way you like, for example, you can scrap about how one experience changed the year for you. Or you can scrap about different experiences you had and even put them in chronological order if you like, etc. 

Thankfully, 2022 was a year of more ups - than the downs that 2021 brought us!

I decided to scrap one of the very best "ups" for 2022.

I selected this photo to capture a memory of my Aunt and Uncle's 50th Anniversary. My little brother Jack was a junior usher and and I was a junior bridesmaid in their wedding.  I am so thankful and grateful we were all able to celebrate together as a family again.  This was our first time since Covid and after our vaccinations, that we were all together again!  Due to my husband's health, we had been extra careful and did not attend any for over 2 years!  It was great to be together with our family again!

This is a photo of my brother Jack, my mom, my husband Phil, me and my Dad in my cousin's back yard at the party. It rained for a bit, but it didn't ruin the fun time we all had together!
I used the beautiful 49 and Market ARToptions Alena Collection!! from My Little Scrapbook Store -
 Oh MY! Isn't it BEAUTIFUL!  I also added some acetate leaves from their Spectrum Sherbet Collection, some flowers from Little Birdie, some paper twine and charms from my stash too!
