London Calling - My Little Scrapbook Store May On-line Crop Live!

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all doing well! - I'm on the Design Team for the My Little Scrapbook Store, and this weekend, we held a FUN On-line Virtual Crop on Facebook  - filled with lots of challenges!
I was asked to create a challenge and do a Facebook Live video, showing some fun techniques - and I'll post a link below.

I showed to "water distress," how to mix patterns from different manufacturers, how to Gut your paper, and create a 3D pocket to tuck a journaling card in.

Here is the finished layout:
I used a photo of my hubby and I in front of Westminster Abbey, while on our first trip to London, in October 2018.

This is the journaling tag ( front ) and you can also the arrows pointing to the little star where I marked London on the map!
Here is the back of the journaling tag that I tucked behind the photo. You can also see the feathery edges created by using the water distressing technique to tear the edges.

I love this cluster of embellishments!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and thanks to all who attended my Facebook Live!  I hope I've inspired you to try these techniques and play along with the My Little Scrapbook Store's May On-line Crop!  If you weren't able to watch me "live" - here is the link for the video that was recorded -

Thanks so much for stopping by -

Challenge YOUrself Blog #77 - "I got it from my Mama!" Happy Mother's Day!

Hello everyone - I hope this post is finding you and your family doing well during these unprecedented times! We have been staying at home since May 13th, and I am blessed to be able to continue to work from home and to have scrapbooking as my creative escape!

This month we are celebrating "MOMS" at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!  We ask that you include a photo of YOU in your layout too!  It can be a layout about YOU and your Mom, or YOU and your child/children, -and those children can be ones with 2 legs, or a furry ones with 4 legs, or even someone that YOU are like a Mom to - or that is like a Mom to YOU! We hope you can join us!

Here is my Design Team layout for your inspiration!
I chose a photo of when my beautiful Mom and I went to see the play Cinderella
at the Papermill Playhouse here in New Jersey.

I actually participated in on on-line crop last weekend, hosted by My Little Scrapbook Store - I am a designer for them as well.  Michelle and her daughter Carrie are super sweet and they have a great Facebook Group where you can find info about future on-line crops, and see videos from many of the other talented design team members!  Please check them out!

Speaking of videos - I did my second Facebook Live event, and showed how I took the design from one of my favorite past layouts, and used it as inspiration for this layout -
Here is the link to that Facebook Live - Feel free to check it out and you can see how I created my layout - I also show you how to "gut" you paper - a great way to save paper - and how to make a pocket to tuck a journaling card in behind your photo!

And finally - here is my layout-

I'm loving the colors in this Mama Llama Collection

This is a journaling card that I tucked behind the photo, I will journal about our day on the back.

I DO have the BEST MAMA EVER  - and I am bless that she is not just my Mom - but my Best Friend and I am also luck to call her my neighbor - as we live next door to each other - which is very comforting in these crazy times!!
Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you get a chance to check out my video, showing how I created this layout, and that I've inspired you to play along with us at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!

SOS May Tic Tac Toe Challenge - "Got Cookies!"

Hi everyone!!  How are you all doing?   We've been home and in lockdown here in New Jersey since March 13th - I can't believe it has been 6 weeks!!  I'm blessed to be able to work from home, so we are doing okay.  I hope and pray all of you are too!

How are you all coping?  I am thankful I don't have to worry about young children at home, having to go to school online - as my kids are all grown, and I feel for all of you that are having to deal with that too!  I find taking time to scrap memories of when we were able to be together, while watching Netflix or Food Network, and sipping some wine is my escape from this crazy and scary reality.

Here is this month's first challenge from the Scrap Our Stash Blog, I hope you put aside some YOU time and get to play with paper, glue, scissors and scrappy stuff!
Let's play TicTacToe and use some of that stash!

I chose to use: Wood Veneer / Enamel Dots / Twine
Here is my Design Team Layout for your inspiration:

These FUN photos are of my friends and me at our annual Christmas Cookie Baking Day

I LOVE this "What's Cooking" Collection from PhotoPlay. While the colors are not very "Christmas" I just thought it was so bright and fun!
