SOS April Blend-a-Sketch Plus - Challenge -"Beautiful Friends"

Hello Scrappy Friends-  It is time for our Blend-a-Sketch Challenge over at the

This month's challenge is to blend 2 sketches below,
and add either  "Polka Dots" or "Enamel Dots"

Here is how I blended the sketches - I used 3 photos, as in the Sketch on the LEFT, and Circles and the basic layout - (tweaked a bit,) from the layout on the RIGHT.

I used photos from a very special trip into NYC, with my friends Melodie and Kimberly who were visiting from out of state, on Thanksgiving Weekend before their cruise,
and my friend Marianne from NJ -who kindly drove us into the city that night.
We had such a fun time, and the play was just “Beautiful!”

As you can see here - not only did I add black, red and yellow enamel dots, I added some red Polka Dot paper Washi Tape, and I used BoBunny's "Double Dot" Yellow Cardstock for the Polka Dot Challenge too!

Okay, so we didn't ride in a Taxi - as Marianne was our wonderful driver, but this sticker and that paper were just so adorable, I had to use them - and who doesn't think of a Yellow Taxi when you think about NYC?!!  (Plus the yellow went perfectly with the Playbill and Billboard colors too!)

Love these ladies - and blessed to call them my friends!

Yup, that is more black and grey Polka Dot paper that I had in my scrap paper bin. It was perfect for my hidden journaling tag - and that little taxi sticker is just so cute!!

Thanks for stopping by - I hope you give our Blend-a-Sketch Challenge a try, and invite you to join us this month over at the Scrap Our Stash Blog.

Challenge YOUrself #52 - SKETCH - "Cinderella"

Hello Scrappy Friends!!
This month's Challenge - over at the Challenge YOUrself Blog is a SKETCH!!
- and what a FUN one it is!!
I hope you will join us a play along!!
There are so many possibilities with this sketch - you can use 2 large photos, or the one photo and journaling as shown - or even replace the 6"x7.5" photo with 2 photos.....
Or - you can "FLIP" it like I did too!

Here is my inspiration layout for you:
I flipped the sketch to the left and used lots of scrappy goodness from Simple Stories "Enchanted" Collection.  This is a photo of my hubby and I posing with Cinderella on our Westbound Panama Canal Cruise - on the Disney Wonder, in May of 2016!
She kept referring to my hubby as my "Prince" (which he is!)
and asked me if he gave me the necklace and tiara!

Here are some close ups for you:

I love that little frog!! - Thanks so much for stopping by, please head on over the the Challenge YOUrself Blog, and check out the AMAZING inspiration from the rest of the Design Team, along with all of the challenge rules and PRIZE info too!!

April SOS Golden Globe Challenge - "Small World"

It is time for Scrap Our Stash's April Golden Globe Challenge everyone!!  This month the inspiration is the Disney - PIXAR Movie "UP"
and you have to include "Clouds" in your layout too!

The "Cloud" prompt reminded me of photos from a visit to "It's a Small World" at Disneyland, and since "UP" is a Disney (-PIXAR) movie - I decided to use them for my layout.
This was our 2nd visit to Disneyland - after our first Disney Wonder West Bound Panama Canal Cruise in May 2016. We had a great time, and hope to go back again someday!

Here are some close-ups for you:
The balloons in the inspiration photo reminded me of buttons,
so I had to include them in my layout.

I love the cloud background paper. I actually cut out the clouds I used as embellishments from the center of the base page - where I knew the holes would be covered by the photos and mats!  I then added them as embellishments, using 3-D Foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope the only clouds in your future will be the ones you use on your layout, when you play along with us this month, at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!
