July Red, White and Blue Challenge Entries

Lots of Patriotic and FUN Inspiration going on at quite a few Challenge Blogs this month - I decided to play along with a couple of them! I also am a huge fan of RED WHITE and BLUE - since my birthday is on Flag Day!

I created the layout below and I am entering it into the following 4 July Blog Challenges:

Creative Embellishments:  Be inspired by 1 element from the pic. Please let us know what you were inspired by if it isn’t obvious and the twist is to use add stars and stripes to your project. ***We would love to see you USE AT LEAST 1 OF  CE products on your projects but it isn’t required to play along. However, everyone that does will get an extra chance at winning.
-My take: I was inspired by the Red, White, and Blue colors, along with the Stars and Fireworks.  I used a piece of Creative Embellishment's " Circle Panel " Chipboard that I painted with White Pearl Ranger Distress Paint.

Lasting Memories July Challenge # 352 -  "We want you to show us your 4th of July adventure! If you didn't have an adventurous American holiday or are not American, show some red, white, and blue. or show some sparkle in your layout."
- My take: While this photo was not taken on a 4th of July Adventure - you can't get any more American than a photo with Donald Duck ( okay, maybe with Mickey Mouse - but Donald Duck is #1 in my book!)

The Creative Studio - Canvas Corp Brands  July "Flags of the World Challenge" "This month we want you to use the colors from the flag from YOUR country when you create. There is no limit to what you can do with this challenge – home decor pieces, water color paintings, cards, tags or altered items" #ccbchallenge
- My take: Not only did I use USA Red, White and Blue, along with Stars and Stripes - I include Donald Duck - and American Icon!

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge - "Scrapbook, make a card, or art journal using old paper from your stash, or an old piece of paper in your layout. Maybe you have a ticket from the past to include in your layout??????
-My take: While I did not use an old piece of paper - I did use an old piece of silver "punchinella" along the bottom of the page - like a strip of paper - along with an old paper sticker of Donald Duck on the bottom right corner of the photo!

This is a photo of hubby, Donald Duck and I on our first trip to Disneyland in 2012, before our 14 night cruise to Hawaii on the Disney Wonder to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary.

Here is the piece of chipboard from Creative Embellishments

The silver "punchinella" is actually what is left after the manufacturer punches out and makes sequins - pretty cool huh?!

The star garland was a decoration I had from a recent "Star Spangled Scrapping" weekend and fit perfectly with this month's theme! I also sprayed the background paper with Tattered Angel's L.E.D. RED Glimmer Mist and blotted RED and Blue Ranger Distress Stains on a plastic bag, spritzed it with water and smoothed it on the background paper too!

God Bless the USA!
Thanks for stopping by - I hope you get a chance to play along with these awesome challenge blogs!
