I LOVE Dusty Attic laser cut embellishments!

I went to a wonderful weekend crop, hosted by SCRAP-A-DOODLE DOO this weekend, and had a BLAST with my scrappy friends ( as always!) I finally had a chance to play with some DUSTY ATTIC laser cut embellishments! ( and lots of other goodies too!) I have to tell you I am HOOKED!!  They are so much fun, and are a blank slate - just waiting for you to make them your own and customize them for your layout or project!  Ya gotta try them!!

ALL of the items used in this layout were purchased at SCRAP-A-DOODLE DOO too!

Our son Jake took this photo of my hubby and I, while we visited EPCOT this past December - I loved the colors, and couldn't wait to use the photo in this layout!   I have to THANK my friend NATASHA for all her inspiration and tutorials, and for sharing of her ideas and AMAZING talent!  Check out her BLOG to see her AWESOME WORK!!

I used layers of Basic Grey's Curio Collection that I water distressed, tore and folded, along with Core'dinations Black Magic, and LOTS of embellishments!



I LUV this Dusty Attic Swirl!  I actually cut off a piec of it and added it at the bottom of the picture too! I inked the leaves with Peeled Paint Distress Ink, the Birds with Faded Jeans Distress Ink, and the vine/swirl with Fired Brick Distress ink. I added Waterfall and Orange Crush Glimmer Glaze by Tattered Angels, along with Espresso, Be Positive, and Mermaid Glimmer Glaze, then some Shabby Shutters, Vintage Photo, Dried Marigold and Frayed Burlap Distress Stickles! This stuff just LOVES layers and adds so much to your page  ( you can find it at Scrap-a-doodledoo.com too!)



I first inked the Dusty Attic Hinge with Fired Brick Distress Stain, (love this stuff too!) then a coat of Tattered Angels' BE Positive Glimmer Glam, and finally some Vintage Photo Distress Stickles. The pearls for brads were made with a Bronze Pearl Pen - the brown "lace" is paper that was water distressed inked and folded. I used up lots of the Tim Holtz embellishments that I've been "collecting" too!



Ouchless Cardboard is my "friend" and a great base. I added a little white acrylic paint, then some Espresso and Be Positive Glimmer Glam. I added some Bronze Pearls from a Pearl Pen to the faux lace, and a little sneak piece of real lace in there too! - look at that luscious Dusty Attic swirl too!

 

This flower was made out of beige cardstock, that I cut out on the Cricut - I used Natasha Aguirre's Gardenia Flower technique, inked the edges with Mocha Mama Powder Puff Chalk, and used a paint brush to add some Sugar Maple and Turquoise Blue Glimmer Mist, and topped it all off with Dried Marigold Distress Stickles.  The Corrugated Kraft Alphas  by Jillibean Soup were inked up with just about all of the Glimmer Glaze and Glam previously listed, along with some Mermaid Glimmer Glam for added sparkle!

Here is a side view of the flower - I love how it came out!  Layers are my friend - if you haven't noticed!  Check out Natasha's tutorial on her blog -the flowers are FUN to make too!  Oh - and THANKS to my good friend Pattie for sharing her costume jewelry, I love the dimension and texture it adds to the layout too!

WoW - Where has the year gone?

It is hard to believe that this coming Sunday is ONE YEAR, since I filmed my "Video Debut" for Cheerios, (LOL!)

I was selected to talk about being Heart Healthy, so that I could enjoy my PASSION for something that I LOVE TO DO -- Scrapbooking and Cherishing Memories - of course!


I am very happy with and proud of how the video came out, as it truly captures my feelings for scrapbooking, and the joy I get while I am creating.  Yes, it even features my FAVORITE Scrapbook Store Scrap-a-Doodle Doo and some of my GOOD FRIENDS too!   It was really a GREAT DAY!


I'd like to share my story with you again, on how this came about - you can find that info on my post: LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION  ( just click and it will take you there!)

A Wonderful Day in NYC with Friends and NO CELL PHONES!

Last September, I was invited to accompany my good friends to a taping of the new Nate Berkus Show in NYC!

DISCLAIMER - before reading further - even though we all live in New Jersey, and are only about 20 minutes from NYC - (with NO traffic that is - LOL!!)  - we are all not big frequenters to "THE CITY" - so this was pretty much a BIG ADVENTURE!


We got up early and headed over the bridge - THANK YOU Marianne for driving!!  It was a chilly morning, but we found parking around the corner from the studio entrance, and after reading all the "rules" for audience members on-line before we went - we decided to lock our cell phones in the glove box of the car - as they pretty much said "no cell phones or cameras allowed on the set - they WILL be confiscated."  This was confirmed as we were handed our tickets, while waiting on line, as the back of the tickets said pretty much the same thing.


We were finally allowed to enter the "holding room" where there we many other people - who had cell phones!!!  We asked a crew member - and they said - "Oh you can have them - as long as you turn them off!"  UGGH!!  - Oh well - so much for playing by the rules!!


The holding room had coffee, water, bagels, coffee cake, and a large plate of bananas -seriously - there had to be over 50+ of them ( kind of odd huh?) We were given some forms to fill out - and then waited to be brought into the studio for the show's taping.
On the way out the door - I noticed ALL OF the bananas were gone! ???? Huh????


Well once in the studio - we were "strategically placed" They told us where to sit, and moved people around frequently during the show. There was a great comedian / MC  there who was in charge of warming us up!  Her name is Dena Blizzard, and her apron read "One Funny Mother!" and she was! In the course of the filming  - she would keep us busy during the breaks.  At one point she asked - "OK - raise your hand if you have a banana in your pocket book. Come on - we know you took one - just fess up!"    You had to see all the hands that were raised - LOL!!  Then she proceeded to hand out stickers to the "offenders"  that said "I stole a banana at the Nate Berkus Show!" That is when the scrapbooker wished I had grabbed a banana as I was walking out the door - I probably would/should have if my pocket book was bigger, and there were any left - as we were hungry when the taping was over!! LOL!  Oh well, - no sticker for the "good girls!"


The show was OK - it was one of his first tapings - and there were no gifts or prizes handed out at that time, and I never even got to see it, as it aired within a week or so after taping, and they had said to watch for it in like 4-6 weeks - so I never saw my "debut" on national TV!  oh well again!! LOL!!


BUT the BEST part of the day - was spending it with good friends - and the CRAZY feeling of being "LOST" and really "DISCONNECTED" in the BIG APPLE!  

Like I said - our phones were in the glove box, in the car, in the bottom of the parking garage, down the street, and around the corner. With NO BANANAS to hold us over - we were HUNGRY! - SO....what to do?  We decided not to go back to the car and waste any of the precious time we had left before we headed home before RUSH hour - AND - (we thought..) people survived without cellphones "back in the Olden Days" - right?  We are WOMEN - and we CAN DO ANYTHING - right??

So - here we are - NYC - PHONELESS!!! I have to say - I did feel a little "naked/vulnerable/armless" all of the above??  It was really kind of strange being so disconnected - but then again - it felt kind of FREEING and like we were on an ADVENTURE!  (right?)

Now - where to go for lunch?  Like I said - we are not NYC "savvy" so I asked one of the people from the studio - and they said "If you like Italian food - go to Carmine's" - OK - I've heard of Carmine's and I'm from JOISEY - so we just need to get in a cab - tell the cabby, and he'll take us there  - right?  WRONG!!!  The cabby didn't speak English ( what were we thinking) and told us to call for the address - we then told him we had NO CELL PHONES - so he handed us a map and wanted us to "point" where we wanted to go - like we knew!!  He even gave us his cell phone to use - nice guy - but it didn't work!!  Marianne had an idea where it was, so we just had him drop us off somewhere near where we thought we needed to go. (right!)

We walked around a little - and tried to find a pay phone to call for an address to give a new cabby - did you know it is very hard to find pay phones in NYC!!!  That is when I saw a VERIZON store - and went in - told them our story, -- Nate Berkus, No Cell Phones, blah, blah, blah  ( they really couldn't have cared less) and could they please look on their computers for the address for Carmine's - which they nicely and promptly did!!  (Thanks Verizon guys!)  We hopped in a new cab - with an address - and were there about 20 blocks later!

After enjoying a delicious lunch - we had to figure out the tip on our own - as when we reached for our phones/tip calculators - we again felt the separation - I mean "freedom!"

Next - what do scrapbook buddies do when they visit a "new" place? - why, they visit a scrapbook store - what else!  We had the name of a store we wanted to see and address - and can you believe it - it was only about 2 blocks away from Carmine's! -- WHAT LUCK! ( See - who needs a cell phone!)  So a little stroll down the street and we ended up at Portrait Bug Studios.  It is a small little scrapbook store -concentrating more on photography.  We were able to find a few little scrap goodies (surprise, surprise as my husband would say) - and they offered us a FREE sitting with a FREE 4 x 6 photo - so of course we said YES!  

Remember - we are Scrapbookers - in NYC - with No Phones - and No Cameras - we needed a record of our ADVENTURE - and they were offering us one - and for FREE! 

So - here is the layout I made with the picture - I am sorry - but I can't find the paper where I wrote down all of the in products I used - I'll note the ones I remember - but if you have any questions about anything - ask away and I'll try to find out!

I just LOVE the colors - and the picture came out very nicely too!  Don't 'cha think!?




WOMANITY - this is a fragrance I received for Christmas - by Thierry Mugler - I LOVE the scent and I LOVED the box, and all of the great messages inside of it - so I cut it apart and used it as different embellishments for this layout.  FROZEN LAKE and COSMOS PINK and PASHMINA GLIMMER MIST by Tattered Angels - were painted around the edges of pretty much everything, the LACE is from Gauche Alchemy - I think the BLING is PRIMA



I LOVE painting with Glimmer Mist - around the ticket, on the edges of the scalloped teal paper that I journaled on, on the Bazzill circle that used to be white!

Can you read the WOMANITY card?

The flowers were hand crocheted by my friend Debbie - THANKS Debbie!
Their centers are off of some bling that I've had for years.
The butterfly was plain - and I "JAZZED" it up with some GLIMMER GLAM and GLIMMER GLAZE by Tattered Angels too!

It's TRIFECTA WEEK over at THE DOLLHOUSE!

It's the LAST Monday of the Month - and that means it is TRIFECTA WEEK over at THE DOLLHOUSE!!  WOO HOO!!   Come on over and PLAY along!!

This is also my last week as the MARCH "Guest Design Dollie" - and I have to THANK the Design Dollies Team for the HONOR of "Playing" with them this month!!  Did I have FUN ------?????? YOU BETCH'A!!

Here is my final submission - and one of my FAVORITES - not only for the HOT colors, and COOL Sketch, but for the GREAT MEMORY of the WONDERFUL DAY that it captures and records.



Remember the TRIFECTA Rules:  (1) This Month's COLORS: Monochromatic Pink, with a POP of Yellow, (2) ELEMENT: "You" and (3) THIS MONTH's SKETCH.   This Layout features still photos of the video shoot, I LOVE the pink "Punchinella" - that is the scrap that is left after they make sequines - isn't it HOTNESS!  The little letters on one of my new favorite things from Cosmo Cricket, and the "POP" of yellow is a Cheerios image that I found on line, and printed on glossy photo paper!  I even used a PRIMA mask, and sprayed the upper left corner with GLIMMER MIST - yeah I know, surprise, surprise!! LOL!!




The little Cosmo Cricket letters let you do lots of jounaling in a little space:

TIM HOLTZ photo op and a weekend filled with LOTS of Crafty Goodness!

Just a quick note - and update  - with my thoughts on the amazing weekend I just spent with GOOD Friends, meeting NEW Friends, making some CRAFTY GOODNESS, at The Collins Group Trade Show, in Massachusetts!   I had FUN soaking up LOTS of techniques and ideas that I can't wait to SHARE with you at future classes at Scrap-a-Doodle Doo !!

I took so many COOL classes, and have LOTS of projects I can't wait to share with you - but time ran out and I still have to finish a few of them (LOL!!) - So watch for future posts and pictures in the next week or so!

I met the INCREDIBLY Talented CHERYL MEZZETTI and had a BLAST in her class  ( wait until you see pics!! ) and YES, I also met   TIM HOLTZ    of RANGER Ink fame! - and he was kind enough to pose for a picture with me :  ( thanks Tim!)




Ohhhh!!!  CHECK OUT the COOL glimpse of the HOT NEW RANGER Distress Stain samples - just look over my left shoulder at the tags with the adorable dress forms! Let me tell you this "STUFF" is WICKED AWESOME!!! ( sorry the show was very close to BOSTON, and I heard that phrase quite often this weekend!! LOL!)

Here is a picture of the BEAUTIFUL and SUPER COOL GRUNGY canvas project that I made in Tim's Class -  OH THE JOY of painting with RANGER STUDIO Paints and using Claudine Hellmuth Stamps!! Those bright beautiful colors, and whimsical stamp sets, mixed with Tim's vision, gave us the tools to create this AMAZING and FUN project - I could have painted ALL DAY!



Well,  it was a long drive home, and a NON-STOP FUN FILLED WEEKEND!! -- it is time for bed, as I have to go back to "the real world" tomorrow!!

Design Dollies - Week 3 -SKETCH Challenge!

Week #3 as a Guest Dollie - and one of my favorite challenges!
I just LOVE the DESIGN DOLLIES BLOG Monthly Sketch Challenge!  It is such a great guide to help me to scrap my photos, and use up some of my "Scrap Stash!"  ( Come on - I know you have your own "Stash!" what scrapper doesn't? LOL!! - This is a GREAT way to deplete it - even if just a little!)

Here is the sketch for this weeks challenge:

So - I had these photos of my CRAZY / SILLY - and VERY LOVABLE Brother Jack, that I took as we were entering EPCOT at the end of December.  We were trying to find a Disney photographer to take our group photo in front of Spaceship Earth, as we were entering the park, and we couldn't find Jack!!!

After looking around a little, we saw him "playing photographer" for a group of guys, who he found out, were visiting from India - (he loves to chat with strangers!) While Jack took a few pics of them -  I had to take these pics of him, taking pics ! LOL!! We eventually had our group picture taken, and went on to enjoy a beautiful day at EPCOT!

What a FUN way to capture that GREAT memory! 

Here is my layout:

I sprayed the light blue cardstock with some Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, and used a photo of Spaceship Earth that I punched with a scallop punch, as an embellishment, behind the crocheted flower and smiley face button that has been in my "stash" as long as I can remember!  Some glittery Thicker's letters for the "say cheese!" title, a strip of my Tim Holtz film strip that I fastened to the cardstock with white brads, some journaling, and oh
 -- CAN YOU FIND THE HIDDEN MICKEY above????

March Challenge #2 - an unusual "element" challenge!

WOO HOO! it is my WEEK 2 as a GUEST DESIGNER for the   DESIGN DOLLIES BLOG !!

This week's challenge - over at THE DOLLHOUSE is an
ELEMENT challenge -

I've seen and played with these challenges in the past and they have included items like, buttons, or anything nautical, or mixed media....

This week - in honor of Design Dollie ADINA's Birthday - which was yesterday by the way - it is something completely different and FUN!!

Wait ....  Please excuse me for just a minute.....

(Thank you! - I had to do that for my BEAUTIFUL, CREATIVE and SUPER TALENTED friend ADINA - whom I would never have met, if it wasn't for this crazy "addiction" called scrapbooking!)

Well - the song also gives you a HINT as to this week's element challenge - Can you GUESS?

It is a word repeated in the song 3 times -can YOU guess??   OK - well, maybe that isn't really a good hint, since there are 4 words repeated 3 times!! LOL!! -- SO I guess I'll just spit it out - the Element for this week's challenge is YOU!   That is right - here is your chance to create a card, or layout - and somewhere, somehow - you need to include YOU!  ( Sometimes we all need "permission" to do that - since we are always scrapping others!)

Here is my submission for this challenge:

When we went to Disney World to celebrate my parent's 50th Anniversary, I was the "official" photographer for our group of 10.  I was also the travel planner, and did lots of research.  I found out that you can have the Disney photographers in the parks take your photos at different places in the park, for what they call "MAGIC" pictures!  So - I made sure I had my picture taken by one of them - and requested a Tinkerbell pose.  When I pulled up the photos on line from my free Photopass account - I found the picture of TINK and I, that was taken while we were in Disney's Animal Kingdom, and decided to use it for this challenge!

I played on the Animal Kingdom / Jungle theme, and used a piece of paper that I have had FOREVER as the "frame"  ( the one that looks like hand painted leaves ) I tore out the center, rolled back the ripped edges and inked them with a dark green ink.  The funny thing is - when creating this layout - I was with a group of my scrappy friends - and everyone wanted to know where I got the cool paper from! I literally have had that paper for about 4 - 5 years! ( That is what I LOVE about DESIGN DOLLIE CHALLENGES! - I always try to and get to use "STUFF" that I've had for years!)

Here is a close up of TINK, and the grey, blue and green diecut paper that I inked and added some blingy brads to.  The diecut, along with the strip of grey, blue and green patterned paper and striped paper with glitter along the bottom are actually scraps that I just couldn't bear to throw away.  The thinly striped paper that peeks out from the behind everything is actually the back of a 2 sided piece of paper that has little boy tools and stuff on the other side - so remember ladies - FLIP over that paper - and think outside of the box!  You'd be surprised what GOODNESS you will find!

Speaking of "goodness!" the cluster of embellishments in the corner of the layout includes a little "old" and "new."  I couldn't resist the HOTNESS of the NEW PRIMA green and grey flowers!!! I HAD TO HAVE THEM - and I think they go perfectly! The amber gem elements, and the tiger bead are from a broken piece of jewelry ~ more HOTNESS!! (Thanks to my friend John, my jewelry "supplier!") I think they pick up the "Animal" theme, along with the little blue and green sparkly Dragonfly!

So - that's my "YOU" Challenge - I hope you like it - and it INSPIRES YOU to create something this week - to CELEBRATE "YOU!"

Scrapbook friends are the BEST!

I was blessed and am grateful that I was able to spend a weekend away with my Scrapbook Buddies, or "Peeps" as we call ourselves!

The event was hosted by our favorite LSS  Scrap-a-Doodle Doo in Ramsey, NJ - and OH MY GOODNESS - I just realized something - I thought our little group would refer to each other as our "Peeps" for "people" when we were counting the "sleeps" until we would get together to scrap again ...

BUT -  now I am I the only one? or the last one? to realize how fitting it is for us to be PEEPS -when the logo and mascot for Scrap-a-Doodle Doo is a CHICKEN - well OK - a ROOSTER!! -

Sooo.... I guess we are all really "Official Doodle DOO Peeps!" LOL!! 

Well - not only did I have and AMAZING TIME - I was LUCKY to come home to a WONDERFUL SURPRISE!!!

My on-line scrapbook friend the UBER TALENTED  LIZ HICKS sent me a BOX filled with Mixed Media GOODNESS!  THANK YOU LIZ!!

** Please kindly tilt your head to the RIGHT to get a good view of all the goodness - I can't figure out how to flip it, and am getting frustrated trying !LOL!!  (YES - that is Glimmer Mist, and Smooch, 3L Scrapbook Adhesive, Art C products and lots of Mixed Media GOODNESS!! So very YUMMY!  I can't wait to PLAY with all of it!

Liz is an independent contractor in the Scrapbook and Craft Industry and works with SCRAPBOOK ADHESIVE BY 3L as their Creative Director. She has an AWESOME BLOG, and while visiting it, I "liked" a new company she recommended FACEBOOK and checked out their Vintage Street Market BLOG   - you should click on the links and LIKE them too!


Then, all I did was leave a comment last month on a WONDERFUL POST that she wrote on her Blog, and she selected me for this great prize!

I hope Liz does not mind - but I would like to quote to you the WONDERFUL words that she wrote and posted which caused me to comment - as they are so beautiful and true -

"We all need each other. We can not do everything all on our own. And although there may be times that we do not see eye to eye, or that the giving and needs may be lopsided... never the less, we all need each other. We strive to find people that are like minded, share our same goals, thoughts and dreams. If we are lucky... we find people that want to help us reach our dreams. If we are not so lucky... we find people that want to take our dreams. Either way, we have control over who we let in and who we take out. NEVER FORGET THIS. It is a tough lesson sometimes... I know this all to well. I have learned to put up my boundaries and protect myself through the years. But even when I am sad or hurt by someone who has wronged me... I never give up hope that out there in this world, maybe 5 minutes from my house or maybe in a totally different state or country... there are like minded people. People that want the best for you and will stop at nothing to see you through your dreams. And if your lucky... you can help them capture their dreams too. I think that excites me most... knowing that I can be a part of someones dreams... help them succeed. There is no greater joy than being a part of someones success, especially knowing that there are so many out there counting on their failure.



We do. We need each other. We need to be cheerleaders for each other, push each other forth into their promised futures. Scream at the mountain tops how AWESOME THE PERSON NEXT YOU IS!!!!

Project #5 -"Old Beauties" My favorite!

I found this old printer's tray a weekend get-away for my 49th birthday with my wonderful Hubby. There was a HUGE flea market, right outside the door of the beautiful Inn in Ocean Grove, NJ.

I used it to showcase the beautiful old and abandoned trucks that greet us as we arrive in New Hampshire to visit our son at college. Their colors are so beautiful; I knew I had to do something special to “pay homage” to their aged magnificence.

First, I randomly applied gesso to the entire tray leaving it thick in some spots.  After it dried, I started to spray Glimmer Mist from the upper left corner, downward.  The colors I used were - LIME TWIST, PATINA, FROZEN LAKE, CHALKBOARD APRICOT, TIGER LILY, GOLDEN TERRACOTTA, BRICK, SANTA BABY, CHALKBOARD HOT CHOCOLATE, PINE CONE.

And below is the finished product!  I LOVE how it came out!

It looks like someone painted these trucks - but the Patina is all natural and just beautiful!

Down one side it says INSPIRE

Along the bottom it says CREATE - I can't believe how these words fit and worked so beautifully!

The lace found here and there was from a small piece of antique lace I found at the same flea market.

I really LOVE this piece and am so happy I made it - the colors just blend and accent the beautiful old trucks perfectly.  I hope you have enjoyed looking too!

Project #4 ~ Metal Flowers

We bought this metal wall hanging at a flea market in PA a few years ago. It is about 2’ x 2’ in size and has been hanging on my wall for years –with absolutley no color – ( other than the plain cream background) I decided it was finally time to MIST, GLAM and GLAZE it up!

 I got out my paint brushes – again – I am so in LOVE with PAINTING with GLIMMER MIST and I had a blast on this project!!!!! I used the following colors: Glimmer Mist – APPLE (my new favorite- but this changes weekly, I must admit!) BRICK, WALNUT GOLD. Glimmer GLAM – DIRTY MARTINI, BE POSITIVE, ESSPRESSO BEAN. Glimmer GLAZE – WICKED, MELLOW YELLOW, ORANGE CRUSH, INDIAN SUMMER.

The "finished" product - what do you think?  a little better?

I have to say – my favorite part of this is the flower on the lower right. I was trying to get it to look like a sunflower – and I am so happy with how it turned out.

Project #3 ~ A Woman of Valor

This 12” x 16” Canvas was a gift to my wonderful boss (he calls me “Scrappy” LOL.) He recently lost his dear Mother, and I made this as a special present for his Birthday. ( Look at the bottom right of the corner – there is a shadow of his Grandfather – taking the photo with his little Brownie camera! – so cool!)

I first used a stencil on the upper and lower right corners, and applied a thick coat of gesso to the openings. I also did this on corner of the small frame too, as well as brushed it randomly on the Glimmer Chip swirl, and the corner chipboard flourish too. After it dried – I applied color spraying Glimmer Mists, and using a paint brush for the GLAM and MISTS too! ( I found out I LOVE applying GLIMMER MIST with a brush! This stuff never ceases to amaze me – there is SO MUCH you can do with it!)



Oh – check out the black edge around the old photo – I applied OIL SLICK GLIMMER GLAZE with the paint brush in the bottle. Didn’t it come out GREAT!! I love the way it cracked and really makes the photo look very old.


I used the following Glimmer Mist colors on the canvas, papers and embellishments: CHALKBOARD Cotton Candy, - OLIVE VINE, SUNFLOWER, BLACK CHERRY, CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES, COSMOS, SUNFLOWER, and GOLD. I also used DIRTY MARTINI and CHANDELIER GLIMMER GLAM too!

I was so pleased with how this came out - Let me know what you think  - won't you?

Project # 2 - from my Tattered Angel's submission

I made this mini book using my Zutter Bind-it-All for the first time. I decided to use papers and manila file folders that I had on hand - and hit them all with a little - ok A LOT of GLIMMER!


The cover is a piece of Acetate film that I sprayed with CHOCOLATE COVERED CHERRIES and a little DAZZELING DIAMONDS on the front – and some FROZEN LAKE on the back – all through a swirly mask.

* Notice the “OOPS?” I punched too many holes the first time I used the bind it all – but used it as an OPPORTUNITY to add ribbon and twine ( on the left edge of the cover!)

I painted the GLIMMER GLASS butterfly with INDIAN SUMMER and MELLOW YELLOW Glimmer GLAZE, and some MERMAID Glimmer GLAM. I used some GOLDEN GODDESS and MERMAID GLIMMER GLAM on the paper spiral flowers that I made for the cover, along with Highlights throughout the book using more GLIMMER GLAZE in INDIAN SUMMER, WICKED, and MELLOW YELLOW. The lace on the cover was sprayed with PUMPKIN PIE GLIMMER MIST TOO!

The 2nd page is a cool Tattered Angels Bingo Board card – that was sprayed with the above 3 colors, PLUS a little PINEAPPLE that was sitting on my desk too! I put a paper towel over it while it was wet and rolled my brayer over it to distribute the color. The rest of the book contains pages that have been misted - sometimes with a mask over them to create cool swirl effects. ( I added some GOLDEN TERRACOTTA GLIMMER MIST to some of the pages too!). I Love how the Tattered Angles Tile came out – I think it looks so cool to incorporated as a “page” and with the words covered in glitter too!
