 Hi Scrappy Friends!
This year, My Little Scrapbook Store is hosting a
52 Week Scrapbook Challenge!
We will be posting the challenges at the beginning of each month, and you have until January 2024 to complete your entries!  You can find out all the info and details on how you can play along, when you join the My Little Scrapbook Store Online Crops Facebook Page - Please come join us and play along!!!
Here are the January Challenge prompts:

I've completed 3 of the January Challenges so far - and I am excited to share them with you:

Here is my layout for Challenge 2:
We recreated some wonderful family memories on Christmas night at my Mom and Dad's home. When all of the family cousins were little, they would "sing on the stairs" while waiting for Santa to arrive! They were good sports and it was fun to capture and create this new family memory.

I used the FAB-U-LOUS Warm Wishes from Vicki Boutin!
If you don't have this collection - you can get yours here before it is Sold Out!  If you are a first purchaser from My Little Scrapbook Store - you can use the code SHERRIREF and get 10% off your entire FIRST Purchase!

I also created this layout during a Facebook Live event for My Little Scrapbook Store - and used the January Sketch Challenge as inspiration.
You can find the video and watch the process on the
MLSS Scrapbook Layout and More! Facebook Page - Here is the Link.
Here are some close ups for you :

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join us over at the MLSS Online Crops Page
and play along with us!
I'll be sharing my other layouts in upcoming posts!

Christmas Eve 2022

Hi everyone - I wanted to share a layout I created at the end of last month - for one of My Little Scrapbook Store's Facebook Live Events. I used a photo taken of my husband and I before we went to church on Christmas Eve.
Here is the link to the video if you'd like to watch the process: https://www.facebook.com/1454975481/videos/671951584409158/

I created the background using a plain piece of Vicki Boutin's Mixed Media paper - and used Ranger Distress Oxide Inks, in Lumberjack Plaid, and Peeled Paint, along with some Nuvo Gold Mica Mist and I love how it turned out!  I also combined papers and embellishments from Vicki Boutin's Evergreen and Holly, and Warm Wishes collections and used one of her older stencils to create the 2, what I think look like - poinsettias! I scattered sequins and some bling, along with some puffy stickers and the title from Vicki Boutin's Warm Wishes Thickers.

I ended up outlining the 2 stenciled poinsettias with a fine black marker, and added more red bling on some of the berries on the frame after the live ended.
Here are some close ups for you:

I also used a fun Ink Blot Shop border stamp from My Little Scrapbook Store in 2 places on the layout.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I'd love for you to leave a comment, and let me know where you are from - or what you like most about this layout!
I wish you and your family a very Happy and Healthy 2023!

December SOS "Biscotti" Sketch Challenge and Farewell - for now!

Well, as they say, all good things must come to an end, and this will be my last post as a member of the Scrap Our Stash Design Team.  I am so grateful to have been a part of this talented bunch of ladies for the last 5 years!!  I can't believe it has been that long, and I've enjoyed every minute and every layout I've been challenged to create - think about that - 2 layouts / month, x 12 months, x 5 years  = 120 layouts!!  ( There are actually 123 layouts in the Scrap Our Stash label on my blog!!) OH MY!

While I have so enjoyed the creative journey with SOS, I felt it was time for me to step down for a bit. Working from home seems to offer me less free time - not sure why that is... but I know I am blessed to still be working and working from home in these unprecedented times! I'm still going to "get scrappy with it" and continue on with my other design teams, but I felt the need to cut back for now. I hope you will continue to follow my scrappy posts, and also play along with all the talented designers on the Scrap Our Stash Blog. You may see me join in once in a while too!

That being said - this last layout is bittersweet, as it is a reminder of our Friends Bakefest from last year. Due to Covid, and wanting to be safe, there is no Bakefest this year, but we will have to pick 2 days next year to make up for it!!!

(Maybe Christmas Cookies in July - we can only hope!)

Here is the sketch I used for my inspiration - I also had to include Holiday Paper, and a Glittery or Sparkling embellishment:

Here is my layout for your inspiration:

Thanks again for stopping by!  I hope you will play along with us on this month's challenge at the Scrap Our Stash Blog, and I wish you and your families a very HAPPY and HEALTHY Holiday Season, please take care, stay safe, wear your mask, and be well!  ((HUGS)) ~ Sherri

Challenge Yourself Blog #83 "Greatest Moments"

Hi everyone,

It is time for the November Challenge at the
This month's challenge prompt is "Home for the Holidays!"
and it can be any Holiday that you celebrate
- as long as YOU are in one of the photos!

We were cleaning out our basement a few weeks ago and
I came across a box of photos and I knew I wanted to scrap this memory!
Christmas 1994! Our Nick was 5 1/2 yrs old and our Jake was an infant, just 3 months old and still sleeping.  Nick woke up that morning with 2 front teeth, and by the time all of those presents were unwrapped, he lost one!
When I saw his purple shirt, I knew that BoBunny's Altitude Collection would be perfect! I've been saving bits and pieces of what I have left in my "stash" and was so happy to be able to use it to scrap this special memory!
I fussy cut some of the snowflakes from the papers in the collection

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope I've inspired you to play along with us at the

Challenge YOUrself Blog!

Please stop by the blog and check out all the other inspiration from the rest of the Design Team, and see the Challenge Rules and PRIZE info too!

SOS May Tic Tac Toe Challenge - "Got Cookies!"

Hi everyone!!  How are you all doing?   We've been home and in lockdown here in New Jersey since March 13th - I can't believe it has been 6 weeks!!  I'm blessed to be able to work from home, so we are doing okay.  I hope and pray all of you are too!

How are you all coping?  I am thankful I don't have to worry about young children at home, having to go to school online - as my kids are all grown, and I feel for all of you that are having to deal with that too!  I find taking time to scrap memories of when we were able to be together, while watching Netflix or Food Network, and sipping some wine is my escape from this crazy and scary reality.

Here is this month's first challenge from the Scrap Our Stash Blog, I hope you put aside some YOU time and get to play with paper, glue, scissors and scrappy stuff!
Let's play TicTacToe and use some of that stash!

I chose to use: Wood Veneer / Enamel Dots / Twine
Here is my Design Team Layout for your inspiration:

These FUN photos are of my friends and me at our annual Christmas Cookie Baking Day

SOS - December Cartoon and Sketch Challenge - Bakefest!

It's time for the December Saturday Cartoon Inspired Challenge from the Scrap Our Stash Blog!  - Plus you must include the color Gold and a Bow on your layout!

I used photos from our 2017  Bakefest, for my Design Team Inspiration Layout, for this month's Cartoon + Sketch Challenge, over at the Scrap Our Stash Blog - and I use Gold Twine, Gold Thicker Alpha's and 3D Gold Glitter Paper Bows for the added challenge:
For the past few years, my friends and I get together at my house, and bake up batches of our favorite Christmas cookies!  It is a long day, filled with sweet treats, love and laughter.  It's an event we all look forward to, and so do our families too!  There are always the standard Italian Grandma Cookies, and Biscotti too, but sometime we mix it up and try a new kind.  Our "BAKEFEST" is scheduled for later this month - I can't wait to see them and spend this special time together!  I Love this tradition and LOVE these ladies!

SOS Sketch plus Word - PEACE Dec 2017

Hello and Happy Holidays my Scrappy Friends!
First let me wish you and your families a very HAPPY and HEALTHY Holiday Season, and I send you Best Wishes for a 2018 filled with only WONDERFUL things!

Thanks for stopping by today to check out the latest Sketch plus Word Challenge from The Scrap Our Stash Blog!  This month's word is "PEACE" - so in addition to using the sketch below as your inspiration, you must also include an item from your stash that starts with each of the letters in the word.
Here is this month's festive sketch:

For some reason, I don't seem to have many Christmas photos from years past.  I think I am always too caught up in enjoying the moment, which I think is important too!
The photos I used were taken by my friend back in 1994.  I love the smiles on our son's faces, and can't believe that they are now 28 and 23 years old!  Cherish and Enjoy every minute with your babies - for in the blink of an eye, before you know it - they somehow become all grown up!!

Here is my take on the Sketch Challenge:

For the word "PEACE" I used:
P - Peeled Paint Distress Stain, Pinwheels and Pearls
by  Queen and Co.
E- Evergreen Bough Distress Stain, Eyelet
A - American Craft Thickers, Aspen Frost papers, Arrow
C- Cardstock, Color Chaos from Bella Blvd
E- Echo Park "Dashing Reindeer"

Here are some close ups for you:

Where did these little boys go? It seems like just yesterday they were making out Christmas Lists, leaving Cookies and Coke for Santa, and carrots for Rudolph! Nick and Jake, you are without a doubt, the BEST Christmas Gifts I have ever been given!
Love you both with all of my heart!

Thanks so much for taking some time out of your very busy days before the holidays, and visit my blog.  I hope you can find some time for you, in-between all the pre-holiday craziness, to relax and scrap a bit!! I hope this sketch and my layout inspire you to play along with us at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Merry Christmas from Princess Maggie and Scrap Our Stash!

Happy December everyone!   Its is time for Scrap Our Stash to Challenge you with another FUN Tic Tac Toe Board Challenge!!

I chose to the diagonal line that includes:
Frame, Holiday Theme, Ribbon

Here is my layout for your inspiration:
This is our Portuguese Water Dog, Reel Life's Princess Magdalena of the Sea sitting pretty in front of our Christmas Tree,  back in 2013 - when she was an "only" dog child, before our boy Tino arrived in February of 2014.   I had lots of FUN mixing paper lines, manufactures and pulling LOTS of STUFF from my STASH!
Here are some close ups for you!
For SURE this is a Holiday Themed Layout - and you can see the Tattered Angel's Frame, and the Ribbon flower and the Ribbon "pull" on the Dear Santa Tag!  Look at that PRETTY girl too!!

Love this tag - and I doubled it with another smaller one, to note Maggie's age and stapled a ribbon to it too!

Be sure to head on over to the Scrap Our Stash Blog - and check out the Challenge Rules, Prize info - and see lots more Inspiration from the rest of the Design Team!

Our Little Helper - Scrap Our Stash Sketch +3 December Challenge

It is time for the December Sketch + 3 Challenge from SCRAP OUR STASH!  This was a fun one - and it gave me a chance to scrap some adorable photos that I've been holding on to for "just the right layout," of our Portuguese Water Dog, Maggie!

I used the following items from the 3 lists:
List #1 - Red
List #2 - Flair and Green
List #3 - Tag (for journaling) and Gold washi tape

Our Maggie always loves to help decorate our Christmas Tree!

I "stitched" the circle element of the sketch using a sparkly gel pen!

I 3-D "popped" the photo so that I could slide a tag with journaling behind it.  Love how cool the puffy lights look on the photo!!

She is such a sweetie pie!  I made the center circle "flair" using my Epiphany Crafts punch with patterned paper and clear acrylic circle bubble.
I actually used 2 pieces of the Bo Bunny Mistletoe Ornament paper - and "fussy cut" the ornaments out on the 2nd piece, then 3-D "popped" them with foam dots, and also decorated them with pearls and gems.

Here is a peek of the journaling tag that is tucked behind the photos!

Thanks for stopping by!  Please visit the SCRAP OUR STASH BLOG, for full challenge and PRIZE DETAILS, and LOTS MORE INSPIRATION from all of our very TALENTED Design Team Members!

Wishing you and your family a very MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season!
Hoping you have a little time to play along with us at Scrap Our Stash this month!

((HUGS)) ~ Sherri

BoBunny - Mistletoe - "Ornaments"
American Crafts - Be Merry "Candy Cane Lane"
