Mixed Media Frenzy Scraplift

Hello Scrappy Friends!!  

Today I am joining in on the Mixed Media Frenzy's YouTube Hop from the Mixed Media Frenzy's Facebook Page. 

While I am not active on Youtube, I hope to one day start adding process videos...... we will see! 

This is the beautiful layout we are all using as inspiration 
- it was created by a blogger named Melania

And here is my layout I created for the Hop 
- Scraplifting Melania's beautiful layout as inspiration:

I used a photo of my husband and on, from a trip to Gloucester, MA, in 2019.  I used the Prisma App to create the "painted look" for the photo and thought it would work perfect for this Fun, Messy, Mixed Media Hop!

I started with a piece of Vicki Boutin's Foundation paper - 

I used the "kiss" technique and splatter technique with Ranger Distress Oxide Inks in Ketch Flamingo and Salvaged Patina to create the base page.

I used Vicki's Storyteller papers 

- Moonbeams and Simple Things, along with some Stickers from the collection.

I also used Vicki's "Color Study's" Collection - 

Blueberry Sour Textured Paste, and a small circle stencil from the collection.

I used Tim Holtz's Ideaology Ruler stencil too 

- with Ranger Distress Ink in Black Soot on both stencils.

Embellishments included Vicki's Chipboard Thickers from her "Let's Wander" Collection, along with Cocoa Vanilla's Love Always butterfly flair.  The sparkly gold hearts are Maggie Holmes Garden Party Resin Gold Hearts. Finally some white thread and sequins here and there!

Challenge YOUrself #90 - Washi Tape Challenge - " We Are Family"

Hi everyone!  It's time for another FUN challenge, brought to you from the

Challenge YOUrself Blog!

Break out your WASHI !  - I know you have it - so let's use it!!!

Just be sure YOU are in the picture!

And here is my take on the Challenge:

I used Washi tape to cover my tag with my hidden journaling, and also added it to the right side of my layout under the butterfly.

I used lots of Viki Boutin products and love how this came out.

I am documenting the first time my husband's brothers, our sister-in-laws and his sister have all been together since January of 2020. This is also the first time my hubby and I have eaten inside a restaurant since Covid starting in mid March 2020.  We were able to celebrate his brother's retirement with this delicious dinner at one of our favorite restaurants!

I am LOVING these Pearls from Pink and Main - I mixed some Unicorn and Essential Pearls in 3 different clusters on my layout - love how they look!

I have to say, it felt very strange to be eating inside a restaurant, and without masks on while we were seated.  Praying that this virus is behind us, and counting our blessings that we all have our health and each other.
