March Challenge YOUrself = Chevron FUN!

One of the things I love about a "non-sketch" challenge - is the freedom to use any size photo or photos on you layout.   I have a lot of large 8 x 10 photos from our Disney cruises, and this month's "CHEVRON" challenge from the Challenge YOUrself  Blog is a perfect way to use one of these photos!

March's challenge is to Create a layout using anything with a Chevron Pattern - and of course, you need to include YOU in the photo!!

Here is one of my favorite photos from our June 2015 Disney Wonder Alaska Cruise, as we boarded the ship in Vancouver, Canada.  We were blessed to have been able to take this beautiful and memorable cruise with my sons and parents. This was our first Alaskan Cruise
- and hopefully will not be our last!

Here are a few close ups for you:

I think this MICKEY pin makes a great embellishment for this layout, and I LOVE the whale and anchor Washi Tape!

I used 3D Foam tape to adhere the photo to the Chevron base page, and also used it to make a pocket in the top right corner, to hold a tag that I journaled on, about our trip.  I also added strips of Washi Tape to that corner, to balance the Washi on the bottom left.

Here you can see the various Washi tapes I used - some Chevron, and some not!!

Finally here is the cute title - I added the camera and Mickey button and some dew drops too!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you will take some time for you - and play along with us this month at the Challenge YOUrself Blog!
